She studied human sexuality at New York University before working with a major national sexuality information and advocacy organization in New York. Shauna is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she majored in sociology and journalism, and minored in African American Studies. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in community health education with a concentration in African American sexuality issues at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
